During the recent seminars, the Consortium prepared a consensus statement that points to further study directions. In particular, it was mentioned that future studies should be aimed at analyzing the systemic immunity of young patients with oral cancer, revealing tumor fungiome (fungome) and virome, and uncovering mechanisms of precancerous oral lesions at young age.
